I was told that I needed so many things as a new mom, but I probably use about half of the things I spent my money on. I wanted to make this post to help out any new mama struggling on what to put on the registry!

The Owlet Sock

This item is the whole reason I even decided to make this post. I have EXTREME anxiety and as expected, it increased as soon as I had my little man. He has been a pretty good sleeper this whole time, but I didn't sleep the first month of his life because I was checking his breathing every five seconds. This device has given me peace of mind and on many nights was the only reason I slept. It gives you their heart rate, oxygen, sleep status, and more in real time on your phone. It alerts you on the base AND your phone if something drops below the level it should be. You definitely will not sleep through it. With this sock I haven't had any false alarms or anything like that, but it does cost quite a bit of money. It was worth every penny in my opinion and it has saved many babies lives. It also just recently got FDA approved!

Amazon nasal aspirator

I use this sucker (haha literally) at least 3 times a day. This thing has to be the best invention of them all. I know most moms can handle using the Frida one with the straw but I CANNOT handle sucking out boogies with my mouth. The best part about this one is that it has 3 different settings, uses a cord to charge, and is super easy to clean! He is 2 months old and I've only had to charge it one time! My sons nose was too small for the bulb and this one has different size tips that fit his little nose perfect. He actually doesn't even flinch when we use this thing anymore!

Boba wrap and Infantino carrier

I wasn't too sure about wrapping my kiddo up like they did back in the old days, but it's the best thing ever! If he is in a mood where he doesn't want to be put down I will strap him on me and get to work! When I brought him home from the hospital and he slept all the time, I definitely used the Boba wrap exclusively. When he started holding his head up better I started using the Infantino. I use each one of them differently depending on the mood he's in. I will use the Boba when he's sleepy and can't keep his head up or eyes open, but if he's awake and partying we use the Infantino! Please just make sure when using these to watch videos on correct wrapping and placement. Hips, head, and bodies should be placed by the guidelines of each product for the safety of babe.

Maxi-Cosi rocker and swing

Okay I'm going to start by saying that you do not have to get this exact brand because it is a bit pricey, but I fell in love with Maxi-Cosi brand because they are super cushioned and they come in neutral colors. Best part- they aren't a huge, bulky eyesore in my home (I know, sad beige momma, but I don't care and my kid loves both of these). They are gender neutral and last a very long time. I bought the rocker secondhand, but we paid full price for the swing and he loves chillin in it during our playtime. Both of these have settings where they lay pretty much flat for the newborn stage. I absolutely love them and will hold onto these bad boys in case I have a second child.

Bumbo changing pad:

This is also another thing I love. In my opinion, it's a definite must have. This changing pad wipes clean and doesn't have to have a cover or be washed in the washing machine (because every momma knows how much laundry we do anyways). Only downside is that it's a little cool if your baby is laying on it with skin touching, but I simply put a burp cloth on it. G prefers to do tummy time on this and just hang out on it most of the time!

I hope I helped you add a few items to your registry! As always, thanks for reading! If you have any questions or just want to chat, feel free to comment and I will shoot you an email!
