I've had to use a LOT of styling tools in my time as a hairdresser. I've decided to showcase some of those with all Amazon links in this blog post today section by section! #ad #amazonpartner

Blow dryer:

First we will start with everyone's must have, the blow dryer! I have thicker hair and it absolutely wears me out thinking about sitting there for an hour drying my hair before I have to go somewhere. Also, being in a salon setting, I do not have loads of time to sit and blow dry all day long. High speed and loads of power are my MUST HAVES when it comes to purchasing a new one. Weight is also a huge factor when you are having to hold one all day long. My mom found the brand I'm sharing with you today when she was still working in the salon and we both have nothing but good things to say about it! This little guy is lightweight, powerful, and has lasted two years so far! The cord is also nice and long which is a plus if you live in an old house with one plug-in in each room.

Curling Irons:

I'm a curling iron girl 100%. I swap between two different sized barrels depending on how I'm feeling. My daily curling iron is this 1-1/4 inch by Hot Tools (https://amzn.to/3toKFR4 ). It takes me about 5 minutes to do my whole head and it smooths my wavy, coarse hair out in the process.

If I'm going for more of a tight curl that'll last me all week, I use this 1 inch by Hot Tools (https://amzn.to/3ZJc6RL ). I've used this specific 1 inch one in the salon for 3 years now because it works really well on all hair types and textures!

Wand

When I was first learning to put curls in my hair at 13, the wand was all the hype. It was the easiest method for me and my mom appreciated the fact that she didn't have to fix my hair everyday. A lot of the preteens and teenagers I have as clients will chose a wand over a curling iron with a clamp any day. I personally don't use a wand much anymore, but when I use it on my clients, I use this 1 inch one by Hot Tools! It comes with a glove so you don't have to worry about burning yourself.

Straightener:

I love a straightener that I don't have to run over my hair multiple times before I get the smooth look I want. This one by L'ANGE does the trick! I took this one to the salon but I loved it so much that I brought it back to my house for myself! It can get close to the scalp (which is important if you have curly hair by your face like I do).

Straightening Brush:

If you have a kiddo who wants to start fixing their hair by themself or if you are in a rush and don't want to spend the time making your hair all fancy, this straightening brush will save you some time! The good thing about straightening brushes is that they are to be used just like a hairbrush and cannot burn you or your scalp. For straight haired gals, it works just like your average curling iron. I've noticed with my curly girls that it works more like a fancy blowout!

Crimping Iron:

This ain't your mommas crimping iron from the 80s! This is a super cute look if you are going for boho or mermaid vibes and it lasts for days. This is the one I personally have!
